- apartments in the center of Zadar, old part of the city or “the peninsula” (as they call it in Zadar) are a great choice for guests arriving without a car. If you decide to visit Zadar with a car, it would be extremely hard for you to find parking places in the center. Besides the old part of the city, two another central neighborhoods are Jazine and Vostarnica.
- neighborhoods that are the closest to the beach and the sea (without being the very center of the city) are Kolovare, Arbanasi, Diklo, Drazanica, Puntamika. If you wish for an apartment in Zadar that is within the walking distance of the beach and yet is not complicated if you decide to drive your car, it is recommended that you choose an apartment in this area
- if your priority is not how close the beach is and you want to save some money, you should search in some of the next neighborhoods: Smiljevac, Stanovi, Bili Brig, Plovanija, Belafuža. These neighborhoods tend to be mostly new construction, so it is possible that you will find not only a cheaper apartment but also newer.

You could also rent an apartment in the surrounding areas of Zadar, all of which are within a 10 km radius. Some of those places are Bibinje and Sukosan on the south, and Kozino and Petrcane north of Zadar. This way you can connect nice beaches, hospitality of the smaller places and the city of Zadar, just a 15-minute drive away.
